CMETB Welding Group Trainees Visit

Last week, Wednesday 4th July, DROMONE hosted a visit from the current CMETB (Cavan & Monaghan Education & Training Board) Welding Group Trainees and their course instructor, Francie McGlynn from iSkills Training Ltd.

The visit was very enjoyable. Our Process & Welding Engineer, Thomas Barron, took the very attentive group through our various production processes followed by several tacking and welding demonstrations with out fabrication teams during the course of the visit. Thomas explained to the group about the high level of quality and finish required from our welding teams and how we check and validate our welds.

Our Operations Manager and Fabrication Team Leaders also spoke to the visiting group about our weld quality standards and production requirements, and how we check and validate our welds.

These 11 trainees that visited us at DROMONE will complete their weld training with CMETB in October 2018 and will have found this extremely hands on experience in a busy production environment a very worthwhile experience. We wish them every success in the future!
